BALTIMORE -- Naturally, Bud Norris insisted he wasnt throwing at Torii Hunter. Authentic Air Jordan Sale . The timing of the pitch -- and where it landed -- suggested otherwise. And that is precisely why the Tigers and Baltimore Orioles became involved in a bench-clearing fray in the latter stages of Detroits 4-1 victory Monday night. After Ian Kinslers two-run homer in the eighth gave the Tigers a three-run cushion, Norris hit Hunter in the ribcage with a 94 mph fastball. "I dont know if he was trying to hit him or not," Detroit manager Brad Ausmus said. "It looks odd after a home run." Hunter yelled at Norris, and as he made his way toward first base, the Tigers outfielder moved slightly in the direction of the mound. That caused both dugouts to empty, and relievers from both bullpens charged toward the infield. "Im sorry he didnt appreciate it," Norris said, "but at the same token, Im trying to throw a ball over the plate and get an out, groundball to third base or something." Order was quickly restored before anyone blatantly shoved each other, and no punches were thrown. Norris (2-3) was ultimately ejected by plate umpire James Hoye. "Kinsler hits a two-run homer and then the next hitter gets drilled," crew chief Bob Davidson said. "I thought Hoye handled it properly. I think thats what anybody would have done. Its a fastball that drilled the guy in the ribs, and I think Hoye did the right thing. ... As an umpire, it wasnt rocket science. I really think that that was the right thing to do." As Norris made his made his way toward the Baltimore dugout, he shouted once more at Hunter, who yelled back. Hunter watched several replays of the pitch in the Detroit clubhouse before meeting with reporters. Asked if thought Norris was throwing at him, Hunter replied, "What do you think? I mean, the guy had great control. So what, he all of a sudden lost it?" Hunter acknowledged that he got swept up by the emotion of the moment, and probably wasnt going to charge the mound. "Its like a pickup basketball game. Theres a foul and two guys argue," he said. "Theres a lot of adrenalin going. Once you calm down and think about the situation... it doesnt make sense. Im too old for this stuff. Ive got kids in college. I cant be doing that." Rick Porcello (6-1) allowed one run and five hits in six innings, walking none and striking out two in winning his fifth straight start. The right-hander improved to 3-5 lifetime against Baltimore, 1-3 at Camden Yards. "I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Porcello, who left after throwing only 83 pitches. "He had a little bit of tightness in the side," Ausmus said. "He fought me. He wanted to stay in. It being May, out of precaution I took him out of the game. If he had gone back out there and really injured himself, I would have had trouble sleeping." Joe Nathan worked a perfect the ninth for his eighth save. Steve Clevenger had three hits, including two doubles, and drove in Baltimores lone run. Clevenger has taken over the starting role at catcher while Matt Wieters (right elbow strain) is on the 15-day disabled list. Nick Markakis went 0 for 4, ending his 18-game hitting streak. Markakis flied out to centre in the seventh with a runner on third and two outs with the Orioles down by a run. Baltimore went up 1-0 in the second inning when J.J. Hardy hit a two-out single and scored on a double by Clevenger. Norris was perfect through three innings with four strikeouts. In the fourth, however, Kinsler walked, stole second and scored on a single by Miguel Cabrera. Victor Martinez followed with a double and Austin Jackson added a sacrifice fly. NOTES: The start of the game was delayed 35 minutes by rain. ... Norris caught a foul ball near the Detroit dugout, darting to his right to catch the popup off the bat of Andrew Romine. ... The Orioles recalled RHP Preston Guilmet from Triple-A Norfolk to strengthen a weary bullpen. He got four straight outs after Norris left ...Ubaldo Jimemez, who starts for Baltimore on Tuesday night, was 0-4 with a 6.59 ERA in April and 2-0 with a 0.71 ERA in May. Drew Smyly (2-2) will start for Detroit. ... Kinsler was caught stealing in the sixth, making Baltimore catchers 4 for 29 in nailing would-be stealers. Authentic Air Jordan China .Y. - The Buffalo Sabres reassigned forward Sam Reinhart to the WHLs Kootenay Ice on Friday. Cheap Nike Authentic Air Jordan .com) - The Miami Heat will try to close out the Charlotte Bobcats Monday night in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference first round series. http://www.cheapauthenticairjordan.com/ . Bozak and Clarkson suffered the injuries in pre-training camp workouts, according to Carlyle, who said they made "small amounts of improvement" from Friday to Saturday. After the players were deemed less than 100 per cent by doctors after Thursdays medical testing, the Leafs held them out of on-ice testing and are being cautious.Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres know that they have the entire country of Latvia behind them, but their recent string of success may start to bring the rest of Western New York back into the fold. When the Sabres fell to 3-13-2 following a loss to the Minnesota Wild on Nov. 13, those fans still left watching the club likely went to bed with continued fantasies of junior superstar Connor McDavid speeding around First Niagara Center sporting the navy blue and gold. After all, the Sabres seemed destined at having the best chance at securing the top selection in the upcoming draft, earning the right to select either McDavid or fellow center Jack Eichel. Both players are believed to have the ability to cornerstone a franchise, something Buffalo seemed to desperately need at the time. Maybe the Sabres still do, but head coach Ted Nolan and his players werent really on board with the whole tanking thing and have instead decided to, you know, go out and win games. Buffalo has won eight of 11 since that loss to the Wild. Now tied for 26th out of the 30 teams in the overall NHL standings, the Sabres are talking -- and more importantly playing -- like a team that believes it can win each night. I think this team has taken a 180 from where we were at the start of the year, said forward Matt Moulson. I think now we believe in each other and were competing a lot harder. We know what we have to do to have success and get wins. Thursdays home encounter with the Calgary Flames, a gutsy 4-3 win, was a perfect example of Sabres hockey as of late. Twice in the game, the Sabres failed to hold a lead and they then fell behind by a goal just 3:14 into the third frame. The Buffalo Sabres that took the ice in October and the early part of November likely would have folded and gone home, but not this newly-inspired bunch. Instead, future All-Star Zemgus Girgensons (more on that later) put home a game-tying goal and Moulson came through with a game-winner with 7:29 to play. That gave the Sabres a victory despite the squad getting outshot 45-19. It wasnt one of our better games, but it showed that the belief factor is starting to creep in. We werent in the game, but we still bellieved we could come back, said Nolan. Wholesale Authentic Air Jordan Free Shipping. . There is no doubt that Nolans club plays with fire each night. Even during its string of success, the Sabres have scored more than two goals only twice in their last nine and remain dead-last in the NHL with 1.66 goals per game. But confidence in the defense and goaltending, especially Jhonas Enroth, has been key. The Sabres have allowed two goals or fewer five times over the aforementioned nine-game span and have avoided beating themselves with bad mistakes. Youre not going to have an A-game every night, but if youre doing those little things right, theyre going to pay off, noted Moulson. It has certainly helped Enroth, who is 7-2-0 over his last nine games with a 1.93 goals against average and .944 save percentage. Nolan pointed out after Thursdays win how the line of Moulson, Girgensons and Tyler Ennis, one that was put together back in mid-November, has helped to spark the club. Girgensons, meanwhile, is starting to become a little famous around the NHL, much like he already is back in his home country of Latvia. The 20-year-olds goal versus the Flames was his career-high ninth of the season, surpassing the eight he scored in 70 games as a rookie last season. Now, nine goals through 29 games and 16 points that dont even lead the team certainly dont scream All-Star, but the much-argued tradition of fan voting has led to an unforeseen turn of events. When Tuesdays update of the All-Star voting was released, Girgensons continued to pace the pack with 803,805 votes. To put that into perspective, the second-leading getter in votes is Chicagos Patrick Kane -- with 375,758. That, of course, is possible due to online voting, giving the entire world a say in who will skate in this seasons All-Star Game. According to the Sabres, 82 percent of Girgensons votes came from Latvians. Its crazy. People back home are just crazy hockey fans, Girgensons, the 14th overall pick of the 2012 draft and native of Riga, Latvia, told NHL Live on Wednesday. Its always been like that. Its fun, its cool, mixed emotions. Its funny at the same time. What isnt funny is teams still expecting to pick up easy wins against the Sabres. ' ' '
